Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor
The TS5 fiber optic temperature probe combines high chemical resistance with the thinest probe profile – especially suitable for catheter applications, e.g. monitoring body temperature within a medical research environment. The probe has a measurement range of -200°C to +200°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.2°C.
Especially well suited for catheter type applications, the extended tip (L1 dimension) is made from Ø0.60mm semi-flexible/semi-rigid polyimide tubing and be specified from 10mm to 600mm length. The very small profile is also ideal for the the most difficult to reach applications, such as RF semiconductor devices.
Starting at 850nm, GaAs becomes optically translucent for which the position of the band gap is temperature dependent. The FOTEMP signal conditioners contain a light source and a device for the spectral detection of the band gap.
