Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor

The NY2 Series Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor is a small form factor (Ø1mm) probe ideal for medical and low temperature industrial applications within the range -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F). It is complemented by a 1-channel or 5-channel DIN rail mount converter which provides the user with USB, RS232, RS485/ModbusRTU and 4-20mA analog output interfaces. The NY2 is 100% passive and is unaffected by EMI, RFI, microwaves and magnetic fields.

Using Photon Control’s proven phosphorus-based technology, the NY2 sensor measures the rate of decay of the fluorescent optical return signal which is inherently related to absolute temperature.
